Libya Urged to Implement General Amnesty Decision

The National Institution for Human Rights in Libya has called on judicial authorities to expedite the implementation of a general amnesty decision, citing growing public demand and humanitarian considerations across the country.

In an official statement, the organization reported receiving numerous appeals from families of detainees regarding the timeline for enforcing the decision issued by the Libya Supreme Judicial Council. This ruling pertains to pardoning the remaining sentences of eligible prisoners under specific legal conditions.
